The Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation will be coming back to the Georgetown area for the 2nd Annual "Running of the Balls" 5k/5 Miler on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Hains Point in Washington, D.C.
Did you know that over 9,300 men will be diagnosed with testicular cancer (TC) in the U.S. this year alone? The GOOD NEWS is TC is highly treatable — in fact, 99 percent curable — when caught and treated at its earliest stages. Boys and men ages 15-40 are most at risk for this disease. So, grab your balls and join us as we raise awareness for testicular cancer on Saturday, September 8, 2018.
Sean Kimerling was an Emmy Award winning, WPIX Sports Reporter and Magna Cum Laude graduate of Georgetown University. He was 37 when he died from TC, just 1 month after being diagnosed because the symptoms were not known to him. With that in mind, we encourage people in the D.C. area and people around the world to "be ballsy" and check out the 2nd Annual The Running of the Balls.
REMEMBER: It's always fun to walk or run in groups. So sign up early to take advantage of the discounted pricing. We will be ordering shirts on August 1, 2018 based on the registration count so they get back to us on time. Help us out by registering early.
