The RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program is designed for first time half-marathon runners looking to continue training from a 10K or 10 miler level and for intermediate to advanced runners looking to develop and strengthen their skills for a half-marathon distance event in the late Winter or early Spring 2018. Runners should currently be able to run 5-6 miles at a conversational pace (under 13:30 min/mile).
The program offers a complete 10 week training schedule with up to 3 group training sessions per week, weekly emails, guidance and support on proper running form, training progression, pacing, injury prevention, nutrition, and equipment selection.
Runners will meet Saturdays @8am at FLEET FEET Sports/Adams Morgan for group long runs, and have the option to participate in coached group track or hill workouts Tuesdays@7pm and group tempo runs on Thursdays@7pm. The first group workout will be on Saturday, January 6th.
The RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program is presented by FLEET FEET Sports/Adams Morgan and all participants will receive a moisture wicking T-shirt and a 10% discount from FLEET FEET Sports/Adams Morgan!
