What's Included

In Backpacking 101 you will learn backcountry safety, conditioning, trail foods and snacks, personal 1st aid, gear and clothing, outdoor skills, trekking, Leave No Trace ethics, and much more. The course consists of a 1.5+/- hour evening skills instruction through an online webinar. You can meet on your computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet. We found this method to be more efficient and effective for our customers by saving travel time.

You will gain knowledge, learn new skills, make new friends and increase your confidence in the backcountry. If you need to rent backpacking gear (backpack, camp stove, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent) you can do so during check out.

You will automatically be emailed a gear and clothing list and backpacking food list after check out. You will also automatically me emailed a detailed itinerary of the outing as well as directions for gear pick up and to the trailhead. We will take care of the rest!
