We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Friday, July 23, 2021.

Celebrate National Moth Week as you learn about DuPage moths and other nocturnal insects, including their importance and how ecologists monitor populations. Then take a guided hike, stopping at lighting stations to identify moths and add your observations to a community science project. Ages 12 and up; under 18 with an adult. To register by phone instead, call 630-933-7248.
Use the main entrance on the north side of Butterfield Road. Follow the signs to the archery range and meet in the parking lot.
Dress for the weather, wear bug spray and bring water.
In accordance with Restore Illinois guidelines, visitors who are not fully vaccinated must
  • Wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth when inside forest preserve buildings.
  • Practice social distancing inside and outside when in the preserves.
  • Wear a mask outside anytime social distancing isn’t possible.
