TuffMan is the original and largest of the fall tournament trails. This will be our 18th season of promoting fall and winter bass fishing. Fishermen are guaranteed $3,000 for first place at each of the qualifiers with one place paid for every 10 teams. The top 12 teams to finish at each tournaent will automatically qualify for the two day championship. Also the top 12 teams in points (exempting the 48 qualifiers) will be able to participate in the championship where $20,000 will be paid out to the top 5 teams. The championship is a two day event with the first day on Lake Belton and the second day on Lake Stillhouse. The dates for the championship are January 27th and 28th, 2018, with the weigh-in at the Bell County Expo during the Central Texas Boat Show.
Event details and schedule
Tournament headqarters will open at approximately 5:00 AM on Sunday morning and the start will be at safe daylight. The lake is off limits to participating fishermen at midnight the Sunday before the tournament unless Monday is a federal holiday and then the lake goes off limits at midnight Monday night. Boaters may start launching as early as 4:00 AM the Sunday of the tournament, but no fishing is allowed until the weighmaster calls your number. Be sure to confirm your flight number to know your weigh-in time.
Teams may put in at the ramp of their choice for the qualifying tournaments and proceed to the tournament headquarters to draw their starting number. There is no trailering to the weigh-in unless specified differently by the weighmaster due to weather conditions. Teams are responsible for knowing all the rules and regulations of the tournament and for obeying all state and federal laws. The limit is 5 bass per team. Fish must be a minimum of length limit of 14". BE SURE TO PICK UP A COPY OF THE TOURNAMENT RULES SUNDAY MORNING!
