Would you like to volunteer to be part of the crew at one of our events ?
No event ever happens without the fantastic support of our volunteer crews. If you are a competitor in any sporting event, you will have been grateful at some point for the support crew that made the accomplishment of your goal possible.
At any of our events we have between 12 - 20 volunteers carrying out various tasks such as
- Course marking
- Helping at registration
- Manning check points - with our experienced staff
- Helping at base camp with teas / coffees / food - supporting tired and emotional finishers
- Course clearing and sweeping
- Driving vehicles / unloading vehicles
- And much more
After every event we get enthusiastic feedback and gratitude from competitors about the great support they get from our crews
Being part of the crew for a whole weekend or just a day can be a great way to spend time giving back something to a sport you love, with people who love what you do or just spending a great weekend away in some stunning locations.
All our crew get the following at every race:
- Food and accommodation covered for the whole event
- Transport to and from local stations if required
- Event T shirt
- XNRG Buff
All you have to do is bring yourself and your kit along for the weekend, we will provide the rest.
Before every event our crew receive a detailed set of information so that you turn up prepared and knowing what to expect. On the first day you will also receive a detailed briefing from our course manager.

As a thank you to our crew, and because we love to see you taking part as well as supporting we offer the following free entry options:
If you sign up to volunteer at any of our events for a day, you can join us for a free day at another event; two days support gets you two days at an event; OR
If you support one day of a 2 or 3 day event you can run a day that weekend for free. So if you were part of the crew on day 1 of the Pony Express in the New Forest, you could run day 2 for free, or you could run day 1 and crew day 2.
