Good diction and grammar are the cornerstones of good writing. In the morning, participants will learn vocabulary, grammar, and spelling through a variety of activities and games as they write essays and stories.
In the afternoon, students will learn Lekha Writing Center’s time-tested methods to overcome writer’s block while writing short stories, poems, and short plays. They will be introduced to a variety of fiction and nonfiction genres to understand the elements of character creation, setting, and plot.
Students will be supervised during the one-hour lunch from Noon to 1:00 pm. Students need to bring their own bagged lunch daily.
Students should bring a healthy snack, bagged lunch, and bottled water to camp each day.
