What's Included

Looking for ways to provide more flexibility to Senior year? Would you like to experience Religious Studies in a more relaxed atmosphere? Do you feel you would benefit from learning not only in the classroom setting but also through field trips to various religious sites? You may wish to consider this full credit, original credit elective in World Religions. This course will equip the student with a knowledge of several major world religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Judaism, Islam and Christianity. It also provides an insight into the nature of religious traditions, examining questions which are common to us all. (open to upcoming Seniors only) Text: Brodd, Jeffrey World Religions: A Voyage of Discovery, other articles. Dates/Schedule: Any weeks from after the end of school through the end of Summer, depending on the common availability of the interested students; Mon.-Fri., 8:30-11:30. Also, one day a week, the class will have an extended-day field trip to a particular religious site). Registration/tuition/book costs: Registration for the course is online at Tuition is $900 (same as all full credit Summer courses), and may be paid by credit card or eCheck. A $30 discount will apply if you register before May 1. The textbook is purchased separately, through the bookstore.
