Friday, October 9, 2015: Pre-Race packet pick-up will be offered from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, you may pick up your race bib and shirt at Surf City Community Center’s gymnasium (201 Community Center Drive, Surf City, NC 28445).
Saturday, October 10, 2015: Day of packet pick-up will be offered from 6:00 am to 6:50 am. You may pick up your race bib and shirt under the pavilion at Topsail Beach Town Center (624 South Anderson Blvd., Topsail Beach NC, 28445).
**Please ensure you have your picture ID with you. An ID will be required to pick up your packet.
Custom Half Marathon finisher medals, overall and age group awards, and a post-race party will take place at picturesque Soundside Park in Surf City.
Shuttle and Parking Information
We encourage all racers and spectators to park in our “Racer Lot”!
Parking will be available at the following lots:
Lot 1: Racer Lot at South New River Drive, Surf City, NC 28445 (next to Crabby Mike’s)
Lot 2: Overflow to Surf City Public Parking at 306 Roland Avenue, Surf City, NC 28445 (next to Beach Bunny Grill)
A handicap/ADA accessible parking will be available at Soundside Park located at 517 Roland Avenue, Surf City NC 28445.
Our free shuttle service from Island Taxi will run from our “Racer Lot” to the start at Topsail Town Center from 5:30 to 7:30 am every 35 minutes.
Awards Ceremony at 10:00 AM at Soundside Park!
Age group awards will be presented to the first male and female finisher in each category below, and overall awards will be presented to the first male and female to cross the finish line. Overall male and female finishers will not be eligible for age group awards:
- 24 & under
- 70 & up
Bag drop will be provided to participants. We will transport bags from the start to the finish line.
Please bring your bags to registration at Topsail Town Center. You are permitted to use your own bag. We do ask that it is visibly marked with your name and bib number. Note, staff members reserve the right to ask you to open the bag to see its contents.
This is a new security measure that has been implemented for the Two Town Half Marathon. We thank you for your understanding in this matter.

12. Public restrooms available at Soundside Park (location of post-race celebration/awards ceremony)

Water Station 2 @ mile 4.5 at Topsail Town Center
Water Station 3 @ ~ mile 6 (Water & Gatorade)
Water Station 4 @ ~ mile 8 (Water & Gatorade)
Water Station 5 @ ~ mile 10 (Water & Gatorade)
Water Station 6 @ ~ mile 12 at Surf City Fire Dept. (run past twice)
Racers will have 8 opportunities to access water stations!
*The roads will not be closed
*Racers should run against traffic and no more than two abreast
*There is no cut off time but please know water stations may not be available after 12 pm
*Golf carts, strollers, pets, scooters (motorized or other), skateboards, etc are not permitted on the race course.
*Spectators are welcome to bring leashed dogs to the park but there will be no dogs permitted on the race course
*The course will be well marked with signs, road chalk and volunteers directing route, however, it is the ultimate responsibility of the participant to know the course
*This event is rain or shine although it will be postponed or rescheduled upon severe weather conditions
*No refunds available after September 30
*Entries are non-transferrable
*If you did not sign up prior to September 30, race shirts and finisher medals are NOT guaranteed. Extra have been ordered but quantities are limited. If you did not receive a race shirt or medal and would like to inquire concerning extra, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with name, bib number, phone number and t-shirt size if applicable.
