The City of Tempe has cancelled all events due to COVID-19.

Our 6th annual Boxer Luv 10K / 5K Run and Fun Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Kiwanis Park in Tempe!
Founded in 1998, Boxer Luv Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating primarily on private donations. We are managed and run by volunteers - more than 125 strong - dedicated individuals working together whose Mission is to give new life to homeless Boxers in need. We welcome Boxers into Boxer Luv from owners when they are no longer wanted, and from shelters and humane societies where they were turned in as strays. Many are found by authorities and have been abused or seriously neglected, resulting in medical issues and injuries. Yet an equal number are from loving homes whose owners cannot care for their dogs any longer due to personal or financial crisis or a change in their lifestyle.
We evaluate each Boxer we take into our care individually, and provide whatever medical care is needed, including all shots and sterilization, and we rehabilitate that dog’s behavior and health in a foster home as needed so we can help him/her find a loving, forever home of its own.
During the past 22 years, with a list of over 10,000 Boxers and Boxer mixes rescued, Boxer Luv has achieved a stellar reputation in the Phoenix area and across Arizona for its responsiveness to Boxers in need. We are on the call lists of the majority of veterinarians, police officers and firemen who contact us when they find a Boxer in need in our community.

Can't make it to this year's event but still want to participate? We are excited to announce our Boxer Luv Virtual Race. A virtual race is a race that can be ran at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. You can run your race at your pace wherever you like. All virtual race participants will receive a custom event finisher's medal and custom event dri-fit tech t-shirt. All you have to do is register above! Please note that your medal and shirt will not be mailed out until after the completion of the event on January 23, 2021.

8 & Under, 9 & 10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over
Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)

No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.

Sole Sports is located at 1006 E Warner Road #104, Tempe, AZ 85284
- Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Kiwanis Park (race location) during your selected arrival time.
January 22 3:00 PM - Packet Pick up at Sole Sports in Tempe from 3-6pm
January 23 9:00 AM - 10K Staggered Run/Walk Begins
January 23 9:20 AM - 5K Staggered Run/Walk Begins
January 23 10:30 AM - 1 Mile STaggered Run/Walk Begins
Due to COVID-19 there will be changes in place to keep everyone safe.
- There will be staggered starts with assigned arrival times. Participants will not be allowed in the event area until their assigned arrival time. Time slots will start at 9:00am and go every 10 minutes until 10:40am. There will be a max of 40 people allowed to sign up for each time slot.
- There will be no water or Gatorade coolers out on the course or in the event area. We will only supply bottled water on the course. The event area will have bottled water and pre-packaged food.
- All StartLine staff will have masks and gloves
- Participants will be required to wear a mask in the event area but not out on the course.
- There will be no awards ceremony. Age group awards will be mailed out following the race.
If, for some reason, we are forced to cancel this event, all registered participants will be given the following options:
- Transfer to 2022 event
- Transfer to virtual event
- Full Refund
