Clients involved in the Easter Seals LEAD (Life Enrichment for Adults with Disabilities) Adult Programs are adults who have experienced barriers with social integration and opportunities due to their physical disabilities. We provide a safe environment for adults to socialize with one another and participate in activities enjoyed by all adults. We strive to broaden their experiences and introduce them to new things. This program is held most Mondays at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and and Wednesdays at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. Young Adults - ages 18 to 30 - 9:00am to 12:00pm Adults - ages 30 and up - 12:00pm to 3:00pm Typical Adult Day Program Activities: Yoga Bowling Painting Self-Defense Crafts Cooking Volunteer projects Field Trips to Discovery Green, the zoo, etc. Sporting events such as Astros and Dynamo games, etc. When can I start? Our year is split up into three sessions: Spring (January through April), Summer (May through August), and Fall (September through December). Starts dates for new participants are on the first day of the upcoming session. For EXAMPLE: If I apply during the Fall Session, I can attend the "trial day" (date TBD) to see if this program suits my needs during the fall. But my actual start date will be the first day of the Spring Session.
