The 2nd annual Miles for Minds 5k and 1-mile fun run is proud to support Shriners Hospitals for Children--Tampa and MOSI.
Promoting youth fitness education of the body and mind is the passionate goal of event organizers; a group that includes educators, scientists, and health professionals. Race president Lynn Gray, a RRCA certified coach, and lifelong fitness advocate initiated this event in 2014 to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of childhood obesity.
When asked about the event goals, Lynn said, “It is our belief that increased education helps us make wise decisions. Those better choices our youth and adults make will result in the improved physical and mental health of our Tampa Bay community for all ages.”
Challenge your fellow students, co-workers, family and friends to participate in a fun run benefitting youth fitness.
Organize a student team for the Miles for Minds Student Challenge.
