Every kid looks forward to afterschool activities! In the Recreation Afterschool Program, children can join us for arts & crafts, active and passive games, enrichment activities, and much more. This recreation-based afterschool program is for children in Kinder through 5th grade. It is an all-inclusive program that is meant to provide recreation and enrichment opportunities to all participants in a safe and positive environment. But what about COVID? We're still running our program just from home over Zoom! Any child that needs something to do after school is welcome to join our program. Log in, have fun and have some paper and pencils handy for drawing too! Zoom link will be emailed to registrants at 10:00am on the day of each class. Max participants: 20 Cost: Free Grades Kinder - 5 Days: Wednesdays and Fridays Dates: January 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29 Time: 2pm – 3pm LIVE on Zoom! Guidelines for Zoom Programming · Programs offered via Zoom, will be noted as “Live on Zoom” · Participants must have capabilities to run Zoom on a laptop, tablet, home computer, or other device. Visit https://zoom.us/ to download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app. Please note that this is a free app. · It is recommended that users create a Zoom account, but not required. No cost to create account. · Online Registration through your Active account is required to participate in a program offered via “LIVE on Zoom” by TCPUD Recreation. · Once you have registered with TCPUD Recreation for the program, you will be emailed a link to join the meeting to the address on file. You will need to use this link to join the meeting on the program scheduled day/time. · Save the calendar invite to the device or mark your calendar so you remember when to join. · On the device that you will use for participation, click the link to open meeting in the Zoom app. · TCPUD Recreation recommends that participants test the Zoom application before registering for a program. TCPUD Recreation is not responsible for technology issues participants are having at home. · Staff will take attendance as needed and monitor programs. Those not registered for the program will not be accepted into the program. · When attending a Live on Zoom class, participants will be placed in a waiting room until staff is ready to begin. · Active sections of class or classes require an adequate amount of clear floor space to participate. · Some programs or sections of programs may require materials. It is the responsibility of the participant to read descriptions and ensure you have the materials needed for the program.
