The Assenmacher 100 bicycle ride is a recreational and social fun ride on paved rural roads through the farmland and villages of mid-Michigan. Started in 1980, it has become one of Michigan's premier one day bicycle rides. It is held each year on the third Sunday in August. With routes including distances of 20, 32, 50, 62, and 100 miles, there are courses for casual cyclists as well as more experienced riders.
Event details and schedule
The Assenmacher 100 features five scenic, paved, bike-friendly routes. Rest stops, refreshments, maps, turn by turn directions, and support vehicles. All routes will be marked with our unique color coded "A" road arrows. The routes are designed to coincide so, depending on the distances, you will be able to ride with riders doing various distances. Support vehicles will be on all routes until 3:00 PM.

- 34 miles flat to rolling hills
- 56 miles flat to rolling hills
- 100+ kilometers (66 miles) flat to rolling hills
- 100 miles (Century) flat to moderate hills.

On-site registration and packet pickup is at Assenmacher's Cycling Center, 8053 Miller Rd. in Swartz Creek, Mi 48473. Registration is from 7:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Century riders must leave by 8:00 AM. All other riders should be on the road by 10:30 AM There will be no refunds after August 1st. 2015.

Parking is available at several of the Swartz Creek Community Schools. Packet pick up, registration and the Ride Start is at Assenmacher's Cycling Center located at 8053 Miller Road in downtown Swartz Creek, Mi 48473.
With routes including distances of 20, 32, 50, 62, and 100 miles, there are courses for casual cyclists as well as more experienced riders. The roads are marked with color coded “A’s” to indicate the different courses. In addition, all riders will receive detailed course maps at registration. The 20 mile route is designed for riders with young families or adults that are new to cycling and just starting out. The 100 mile route is designed for experienced riders or enthusiast looking for that big challenge. The intermediate distances will appeal to a wide variety of riders.
Support vehicles patrol all of the routes. There are rest areas providing fresh fruit, bagels and drinks as well as portable toilets. Come join hundreds of your fellow bicyclists for a fun ride on August 16th. After the ride, all participants are invited back to the store for free food and music.
Ride fees are $15.00 for applications received by August 1st. For Day of Ride and applications received after August 1st price is $20.00 and there is a maximum family rate of $45.00.
