The Gears and Steers Ride for Hospice is ideally situated in the heart of the Triad. This beautiful ride from Summerfield Farm takes you on country roads where the pavement is nice and the hills are rolling. The Gears and Steers Ride for Hospice has 25, 40 and 62-mile options. Each distance is fully supported with well stocked aid stations. The 62-mile begins at 9:00 AM, 40-mile at 9:30 & the 25-mile ride at 10:00 AM. The post-ride party, with silent auction, begins at 12:30 PM and goes until 5:00PM. 100% of your registration fee goes directly to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro! ***Please note that we have changed the start times due to the projected cold AM temperatures.

Registration Fee: $35.00 pre-registered & $45.00 day before & day of event (100% of the registration fee goes to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro). Day-of registration runs from 7:30-10:00.
Route Options: 25 miles, 40 miles and 62 miles (metric century)
Age Minimum: Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Fundraising: Riders have the opportunity to fundraise on their own for Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro—online donations or checks payable to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro.
Description: The Gears and Steers Ride for Hospice is ideally situated in the heart of the Triad. This beautiful ride from Summerfield Farm takes you on country roads where the pavement is nice and the hills are rolling. The Gears and Steers Ride for Hospice has 25, 40 and 62-mile options. Each distance is fully supported with mechanics and well stocked aid stations. The 62-mile begins at 9:00 AM, the 40 mile at 9:30 AM & the 25-mile ride at 10:00 AM. The post-ride party starts at 12:30 PM and goes until 5:00PM. The band will break for the silent auction from approximately 2:00-3:00 to announce the "winners."
All cyclists get the following: well-supported and well-stocked aid stations on the route and access to the post-ride celebration which includes water & soda, 1 beer (after the ride—21 & over), and music from the band Farewell Friend. There will be a limited number of lunches, beer and T-shirts available for purchase (all proceeds will be split with HPCG & Team Tri for Hospice RAAM) for riders who miss the order deadline or who sign-up on event day—first come, first serve…. We will have complementary post-ride massage and The Market at the Farm will be open with samples for the riders & all riders will receive 10% off Market purchase with their rider bib on 4/10.

- This event is a supported ride, not a race Obey all traffic laws, stop signs, etc.
- All cyclists must wear a helmet All riders must sign a liability waiver on site
- Be courteous to drivers (we are guests in the community) Ride to the right and in single file as much as possible
- No ID, No beer No headphones while you ride
- HAVE FUN!Please, no behavior you wouldn't want your mom to see or hear
