A 1 mile road race in the heart of Smithtown. Join families of casual walkers and joggers as well as top tier High School and Elite runners from all over Long Island to help rause money for ReesSpecht Life ReesSpecht Life is a non-for-profit foundation that helps to provide the community with scholarships and other charities. The course is a straight stretch down the scenic Maple Avenue in Smithtown. The course is USATF Certified. Race-day registration and race-day packet-pick-up will be located at Physical Therapy Associates of Smithtown (100 Maple Avenue). Pre-Race packet pick up will be at Smithtown Running Company the day before the race, April 16th, from 1-5.
Event details and schedule
Packet pick-up will be from 1pm-5pm the day before the event at Smithtown Running Company as well as at the race starting at 7am. First 300 people to retrieve their packet will get a race day t-shirt.
Race-day registration and packet pick-up will be at 100 Maple Avenue (Physical Therapy Associates of Smithtown) which is directly on the course, about a quarter mile south of the finish line. Be sure to be at the starting line about 10 minutes before your race.
8:30 AM-Elementary Fun Quarter Mile
9:00 AM-1 Mile Open Run/walk
9:25 AM-Elite Women's 1 Mile run (5:50 or faster)
9:35 AM-Elite Men's 1 Mile run (4:45 or faster)
Parking will be along the course at the Maple Avenue Park, at Miller's Pond, and other parking lots by the finish line near Main Street. NO PARKING IN THE STREET. Be sure to pick up your bib-number and/or register at 100 Maple Ave.
High School Runners: Be sure to bring a valid school ID to be able to contend for High School Division Awards.
