About this event
Note: Due to increased Covid cases, the instructor has chosen to move this class to a virtual format, so class will be held virtually over Zoom. Watercolor is a more advanced course though anyone can learn the medium, all it takes is an open mind and patience. In watercolor we will focus on a series of in class exercises that explore color theory, observational drawing, and watercolor techniques. During the course of this class students will be expected to complete one landscape painting, one portrait painting, and one copy of a Master work to hone in on technical skills. SUPPLY LIST (Intermediate Watercolor): • 2 Arches 140lbs watercolor blocks (1 each 5x7" and 9x12") If you cannot locate these sizes, an 8x10 block is fine. • Winsor Newton Cotman Watercolor Pocket Plus • Brushes: Liner, Rigger, Filbert (small/medium size), Moper, Round (small/medium size) • Semi-permanent masking fluid.
