Experience an early morning 3 hour bodyboarding lesson or coaching session, when the Sun's morning rays fan out from the Douglas Firs and Spruce trees at Oswald West State Park, front lighting the wave faces. Crowds in the water are minimal. Easy to find a parking spot. It's a special time of day to go surfing and the tidal times on these four dates are great for learning! There are two Dawn Patrol Sessions of the four offered this summer for bodyboarders. We can teach 5-8 students in these bodyboarding lessons. Equipment rentals from Cleanline Surf Shops, in Seaside or Cannon Beach, must be done the day before the lesson date, since the shops don't open up until 9 am, after we are already in lesson. Students will learn the 3 forecast tools to know when and where to go surfing, the 12 foundational surfing skills including kicking techniques and reading waves, safety with board and in the ocean. Book these Dawn Patrol Sessions with your favorite group of friends, family and coworkers. Or sign up solo and join a group of enthusiastic people with the desire to learn in an early morning ocean experience. Cleanline Surf Shops provide NW Women's Surf Camps students with a special full day rental package rate of $45, instead of regular $60 per package. You just need to tell rental staff at shop that you have a lesson with us to receive the discount. You will need a wetsuit, finsocks, gloves, optional hood, bodyboard and swimfins. COVID19 current guidelines are met.
