With roots in ancient Chinese martial arts, Tai Chi and Qigong are a set of exercise designed to cultivate balance, control, flexibility, joint health, vitality, and mindfulness. Over the eight-week course, students will learn the eight-movement Tai Chi form, a variety of Qigong exercises, and get a basic introduction to sitting and standing meditation. These classes are intended to be accessible to complete beginners as well as to people who have studied Tai Chi in the past. This is also a good starting point for people who have taken the OLLI Tai Chi Class.
