Description

We're sorry, but this event is over. The last meeting was Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

Bats of California's Central Coast will introduce participants to the 17 bat species that occur in our region. Topics covered will include bat biology, natural history, and ecology. Emphasis will be placed on special features of bats including bat echolocation (how bats navigate and find food but also how scientists use this capability to study them). The course will be tailored to lead participants into becoming citizen scientists to study and promote and educate about bats. (includes course materials)
