About this event
Activity Organizer: Wen Lin, Junhan Zhang Email: maria_lw@yahoo.com jzhang2166@gmail.com Dates: Tuesdays or Sundays Time: 7:00 PM–8:00 PM | Online via Zoom Grades: 7–12 Description: For Grades 7-8 (with 1-year biology learning), our club aims to equip them with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts in biology, to prepare for the National Middle School Biology Bowl held on Memorial Day weekend, Biology Challenge, and to gain a head start for high school biology competitions. For Grades 9-12 (Honors Biology recommend), our club strives to help them develop a deep understanding of biology and prepare them for the USABO competition. We will cover key topics such as biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, evolution, plant and animal anatomy, and ecology. Additionally, we will review past exams to familiarize members with the format and types of questions. Our club will reserve a spot for each high school member to take the USABO open exam, which will be hosted at BISV in February, and form teams for other biology competitions. Zoom links will be provided by the club advisors before the start of the club. Middle School Division: Every SUNDAY 7:00 - 8:00 (Zoom) High School Division: Every TUESDAY 7:00 - 8:00 (Zoom)
