San Francisco Conservatory of Music50 Oak Street San Francisco, CA 94102
This class explores the many performance aspects of vocal music in a supportive master class setting. The primary focus is classical: from art song to opera, but other genres are welcome. We work on interpretation, language, technique, voice science, drama, text, and many other aspects of this incredible art form accompanied by an SFCM collaborative pianist. Students should be prepared to bring pieces, with sheet music, to perform each class (memorization preferred) and can choose to work on one or more throughout the entire session. There are also opportunities to explore ensemble repertoire and opera scenes if desired. The series culminates in a public performance at SFCM. This class is available to students of any level.
Enrollment limited to 10 students.
