This intensive course will introduce the fundamentals of modern music production in AVID Pro Tools. Students will learn the basic principles needed to complete a Pro Tools project from initial setup to final mixdown. Whether a project involves multi-track recordings of live instruments, MIDI sequencing of software synthesizers, or audio looping, this course provides real-world examples and frequent hands-on assignments designed to teach how to record, edit, and mix on a basic level. The objective of this course is to prepare students to pass two online examinations required to become an AVID "Pro Tools Certified User". Upon successful completion of the final exams, students will receive Pro Tools 12 User Certification. All sessions led by SFCM Adjunct Faculty Matt Levine. www.mattlevinemusic.com
All students are provided with the course materials through the materials fee, which are required for the course and to register for the Pro Tools User Certification Exams that will be taken online during class time.
