We are On A Mission for school spirit and color. Please join the Texas A&M University-San Antonio Jaguarettes dance team on epic run filled with vibrant colors. The color run will have you experiencing the most pivotal landmarks of the campus as well as taking in the rustic landscape that defines south Texas. And hey, you may even get to witness the cattle and horses that live off the land that surrounds the campus. So will you come and join OUR MISSION?

DIRECTIONS: Please use Google Maps for directions to the campus. Texas A&M University- San Antonio, One University Way, San Antonio, TX 78224
PARKING: Faculty, staff and visitor's park in the east lot (left at the University Way & Verano Parkway intersection). Please note that parking access will be limited 15 minutes prior the race start.Volunteers and race participants are permitted to park in LOT #2 which is signified as Faculty/Staff/Student Parking. This lot is located alongside the Science & Technology Building on campus. Please note that you CAN NOT park on University Way, Jaguar Parkway or in Esperanza Hall Resident Parking (LOT #1).
RACE DAY: The race is Saturday, May 4th, 2019 with participant check-in beginning at 8AM CST. Note ALL race participants must be checked in for race day.
UPDATE- Due to the weather forecast, On A Mission Race Pre-Check-In on Friday, May 3rd 12PM CST to 1:30PM CST at the campus courtyard for any race participants that would like to get their race packets prior to the event has been canceled. Thus you will need to check-in on race day at the check-in tables located in front of the Sen. Frank L. Madla building, where race participants will receive all the proper items for the race. The run will start at 9:30AM CST in front of Madla Courtyard. All registrants MUST bring their ID with them for race packet pickup, registration and check-in.
NOTE: There are NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS during our event unless it is deemed an emergency. The campus buildings are locked during our event this Saturday and therefore is not open to the public except for race purposes (pathway, parking, and race route).
DAY OF RACE PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION:
We are ONLY permitting 15 day of registration participants. Note if you are bringing a child with you, they are considered to be a part of the count. Please be advised that all children participants will need to be accompanied by a paid adult participant.
WHAT TO WEAR: Well, its a color run so you can wear whatever you want. But ideally you would wear a white shirt, so that you can show off that amazing color that you experience during the race and after. The first 100 participants to register for the race by March 23rd, 2019 will get a On A Mission 5K Color Run t-shirt to wear on race day. Again, our shirts were based on limited availability. (UPDATE: We still have a few shirts left for race day)
Yes, bring 'em all! The kids love to get colored just as much as the rest of us, and it's super fun to throw color all over them and make a big mess! Kids 5 and under as 5/4/2019 are FREE! (Processing fee still applies). Registration for kids 6 to 12 years of age are $15. And 13 and up will be registered as an adult at NOW $25 due to the FIESTA DISCOUNT. All kids must be registered in order to participate and must be accompanied by a paid adult. At this time, we do not offer kid size shirts for the race. Therefore, any registrant 12 years or younger will NOT receive a race shirt. Lastly, please be sure to look after your kid(s) at the color event, so they don't get lost in the crowd.
RACE EVENT CANCELLATION: We are, at times, at the mercy of the unforeseeable circumstances that are beyond Texas A&M University-San Antonio Jaguarettes control and as such, we must have the ability to postpone or cancel these events when health and safety concerns (or other unforeseeable acts) warrant. An alternative day will be provided if the event is cancelled.
WEATHER: Unusually hot, humid, wet, cold, or icy conditions may cause the postponement or cancellation of a race. If rain is not persistent and has not compromised race path, the race event will continue. However, if the following occur: the existence of visible lighting, strong or dangerous wind conditions, hail, heavy rain and flooding. The event will be postponed until a later date and time. All participant(s), sponsors, vendors, or others who have expended funds on the race will be notified.
Texas A&M University-San Antonio Jaguarettes' On A Mission 5K Color Run race require an extensive amount of planning and pre-event expenses that include purchases of shirts, race materials, and course/pathway control. As such, Texas A&M University-San Antonio Jaguarettes will not provide refunds to participant(s), sponsors, vendors, or others who have expended funds on the race. An exception is available for transferred or deployed active military personnel only — Thank you for your service to our country.
TRANSFER RACE REGISTRATION: Yes! You can transfer your On A Mission 5K Color Run to someone else up to 2 weeks prior to the event. In order to to transfer registrations, you need to send us the name, contact info and email of the person to whom the registration will be transferred to. We can then take care of the rest. Please note will are unable to change the shirt size that was selected during the original registration time period due to the shirt order already being placed for the event. Therefore this person will need to come to the event wearing a white t-shirt or apparel of there choice.
Note: This is a student run organizational event featured on the campus of Texas A&M University-San Antonio. The event proceeds will benefiting the A&M-SA Jaguarette Dance Team.
