The Get Fit Rutland 5k is a moderately challenging circular route that starts and ends at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Walkers and runners of all abilities are encouraged to participate and there is even an option to walk with some of RRMC's physicians. Proceeds benefit the Rutland Community Health Team, which provides free services to patients who can benefit from additional supports and services to improve their health. These include complex case management, care coordination, health coaching, and programs that build skills so patients can manage chronic health conditions. Many of the programs provided by the Community Health Team require equipment and resources that are not traditionally covered by health care insurance or other programs. Examples of equipment include home blood pressure monitors, HEPA vacuums, mattress and pillow covers, physical activity supports, bus or taxi fares, and educational materials. Your support of the Community Health Team through participation in the Get Fit Rutland 5k will make a difference!
