Join us for the 12th Annual Virtual BUFFALO STAMPEDE Half Marathon & 5K Races perfect for runners & walkers of ALL ages! This year, due to COVID-19, the Stampede will be in a Virtual Race format. We can fight COVID-19 together by staying healthy and active - run or walk the 2020 Stampede anytime, anywhere from October 3, 2020 - January 3, 2021.
Enjoy all the excitement of participating in a race without the big crowds, the long lines, and the pressure of running with other participants. Give yourself an extra spark in your run and share your accomplishment with friends and family.

Runners are also invited to our Boonville Days Heritage Festival, a free drive-through event in the Museum parking lot, 9 am - 12 pm, on Saturday, October 3rd. This year the event is dedicated to all the frontline heroes serving our community during the pandemic. There will be entertainment along the way, including Pat Gavin and the Buckaroo Band, with their authentic chuck wagon; a full-size 19th century stagecoach replica from the Buggy Barn Museum; reenactors in period dress; “Mo” the live Bison; and more! Visitors may pick up a free activity/craft packet while supplies last to take home and enjoy with their families.
Stop by anytime with your free passes, Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm, to visit the Museum! The nationally touring & beautiful exhibit, BISON, will be on display until November 14 and will be followed by a fascinating special exhibit showcasing the natural history of birds. The Museum has also updated its Texas History Gallery, and installed some other new natural history displays. There is always something new at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History!
