Running in a Pink Tutu: The Divas Half Marathon and 5K

Written by

Filled with camaraderie, motivation and inspiration, the Divas Half Marathon & 5K Series uses a "diva" attitude to promote the sport of running to those who might not be interested in racing. While the race is geared toward women, men are always invited to join the festivities.

Packet pick-up was at the race's Health & Fitness Boutique, directly across the street from the beach—a tempting sight for our ocean-loving editor.

Each runner received a women's fit technical T-shirt, logoed drawstring bag, race number and a big, fluffy tutu—all in the pinkest pink you've ever seen.

Runners are encouraged to wear the tutu on race day—and, quite frankly, any day they want. Because it's nearly impossible to be in a bad mood with a tutu on.
