Bottoms

1. Brooks Chaser 5" Short ($48)
The Chaser 5" are a classic pair of running shorts that runners of any level could enjoy. The waistband is comfortable and effective, keeping the shorts in place on slow jogs, as well as sprints. Plus, it has a hidden pocket large enough to hold a phone. The 5" length keeps the shorts from riding up, and hidden side slits allow the wearer a full range of motion. They come in many color options, but our testers enjoyed the red pattern--a great choice for fall that isn't too bold.

2. Reebok CrossFit Lux Tight ($70)
Perfect for your time in the gym strength training, as well as for runs outside, Reebok's Lux Tights are as comfortable as they are stylish. The Speedwick technology ensures you stay cool and dry, the flatlock stitching helps prevent chafing and the wide waistband allows the tights stay in place--because the last thing you want to have to do during a run is worry about your pants falling down.

3. Under Armour Fly Fast Printed Leggings ($65)
These leggings are not only comfortable and stylish but affordable to boot. The Super-light HeatGear fabric keeps you warm without weighing you down, the built-in mesh panels help get rid of excess heat ensuring you stay warm not hot, and the reflective elements allow you to run even when light is limited. Plus, the 6-inch ankle zippers allow for easy on/off.

4. Brooks Threshold Tight ($95)
If you live in an area where fall is closer to winter than summer, the Threshold Tights are perfect for outdoor activity in colder temperatures. The waistband connects naturally to the rest of the pants (rather than utilizing an elastic band around the waist), so they stay up well during movement. Brooks' trademarked DriLayer Threshold thermal fabric keeps the wearer warm, comfortable and dry from sweat. Features like stay-put pockets in the waistband and mesh pockets on the sides, plus reflective ankle zippers make these bottoms a great choice for your fall and winter runs.

The Threshold Tight is available in both men's and women's.

5. Under Armour Misty Leggings ($150)
UA's Misty Leggings give you a next-to-skin feel without being restricting or too compressive on your legs. The four-way stretch fabric helps you move with ease in any direction, and the envelope back pocket ensures whatever you stow will be safe and secure. But our favorite feature? The new gusset design, which makes the leggings fit perfectly and never look too tight or ill-fitting.

6. Under Armour Unstoppable/MOVE Elite Joggers ($130)
If you're a man who's not into tight and constricting leggings for cool-weather runs, the Unstoppable/MOVE Elite Joggers are the next-best option. They're designed with unique air pockets on the inside that trap heat without eliminating breathability, helping keep you cool when you're running and warm when you aren't. Plus, the pockets not only zip but have an internal phone pocket, cutting down on bounce and weight from your device.
