The CHaD Half Marathon & Relay will run for the third year in the upper Connecticut River Valley.
The new three-loop course centeres everything on the Dartmouth Green--starting line, both transition areas, finish line, and post race party.

Running in Hanover, New Hampshire and neighboring Norwich, Vermont, the CHaD Half Marathon is one terrific event, and benefits one vitally important cause--the children and families at the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth.
The half marathon and half marathon relay will run on September 6 at 3:45 in the afternoon; the relay offers a selection of distances. You will enjoy every mile of the new three-loop course, each beginning and ending at the Dartmouth Green.
Want to recruit friends and enjoy the camaraderie of a team? Run the relay, with a different but equally enjoyable experience. You won't want to miss the unique post race block party with food and adult beverages.
Green? Yes, they have found ways to make this event a special kind of "green", and have eliminated the point-to-point which required shuttle transportation and logistics.
Everything is now centered on the Dartmouth Green, making it ideal for participants and even more meaningful for spectators, who will see runners at least four times. Relay runners have the ideal situation as they can be together and cheer each other rather than spread along the course.
This event enjoys terrific organization and planning, and is an outstanding race with a beautiful venue. However, what makes it really special is that proceeds are for CHaD, the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth, one of the very best children's hospitals in the country.

Race TimeThe CHaD Half Marathon & Relay will start at 3:45 p.m., insuring ideal post race party time, and have they planned well for you. Everything revolves around the Dartmouth Green. This beautiful course tours Hanover and Dartmouth College, then crosses the Connecticut River into neighboring Norwich, Vermont on a very intriguing second loop.
This race, and the cause it supports, has enjoyed great success the first two years. The field is limited to 1,000 runners in the Half Marathon and 100 teams in the relay. Please don't miss out. The first two received rave reviews; if you were there you will want to return and try the new course; and if you didn't make it, don't miss the third. This event is memorable.
The CHaD Half Marathon & Relay has race amenities: Colorfully unique T-shirts; bag check; ChampionChip timing with net and official time; water every two miles and at start and finish, and aid stations along the course.
Runners will enjoy terrific post race food, fundraising and age group prizes; and vouchers to the terrific Taste of Victory Block Party (included with registration and also available to spectators and friends).
Party Time-The Taste of Victory Block PartyIt's unique! This will make the evening complete; each runner will receive a voucher for food and beverages for the party on College Street, immediately adjacent to the green, which will be closed to traffic for the evening. The party will run from just before race time until 8:00 p.m.
Food and beverages at the block party will also be available for purchase for friends, family, and spectators. Everyone can participate. The block party will include live music, barbeque, and a Harpoon Brewery beer tent. What a day, with running, food, music, beverages, and entertainment, all conveniently adjacent to the Green!
