This class uses traditional yoga poses adapted to sitting in a chair and standing alongside a chair. Our purpose is to increase mobility, strength, and balance. The yoga technique may also calm the mind and increase concentration. Instruction is tailored to the needs of each student’s individual situation.
Participants are recommended to use a yoga mat to keep the chair stable. Other props used include a strap, a variable inflated yoga ball, and foam blocks. These can be homemade, purchased from a store or purchased from the instructor.
