Rumor has it that Roosevelt Island has been overrun by all manner of scary things. Join us in the madness for this Halloween 5K & 10K with a superb after party including a great live band and a Halloween themed post-race spread. Goblins and ghouls of all ages are welcome.
Event details and scheduleStart time: The 5K begins at 9:30 AM; The 10K begins at 10:00 AM Address: 425 Main St. New York, NY
Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female runners in each race and the top 3 in each ten year age group approximately one hour after the race begins. Prizes will also be given for the best costumes, so get creative!
Packet Pickup: Pre-Race Day packet pickup will be held at a time and location TBD. Packet pickup will be available on race day beginning at 8:00 AM. We strongly encourage you to pick up your race materials in advance of race day to avoid lines.
Amenities: Bag check and toilets will be provided. Bagels, spreads, fresh fruit and Halloween candy will make up the great NYCRUNS post race spread. The giveaway for this race will be a spooky race shirt!
Directions: Take the F train or Tram to Roosevelt Island. All pre- and post-race activities are on Firefighters Field, a short walk from public transit, just north of both starting areas and just south of the finish. Please check MTA Trip Planner for up to date and detailed mass transit directions and Google Maps for driving directions. Parking is limited at all of our events, we strongly encourage you to use mass transit.
Cost: $30 through 9/28, $35 through 10/19, and $40 thereafter. NYCRUNS members receive a 5% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks. Race day registration (if available) is cash only. Register early and save us all a lot of hassle!
