Join Jump Start Sports for a fun all-around summer sports camp. Register for all 8 weeks and save!
Each day features skill instruction based on the camp's theme. General camp games and activities will be played late afternoon due to varying pickup times.
WEEK 1 (June 24 - June 28): Sports Camp Kickoff
Kick off summer with Jump Start Sports by participating with your friends in your favorite camp games and activities! This includes kickball, capture the flag, tag games, relay races, water games, and more.
WEEK 2 (July 1 - July 5): World Cup Soccer
Campers have a blast learning foot skills, passing, shooting, defending, goalkeeping, and team concepts. We'll play fun, age appropriate drills and games to help teach fundamentals and improve their soccer abilities throughout the week. Every day, players will participate in small sided games, culminating in a World Cup tournament at the end of the week. Campers will also have fun making a team tee shirt for their country!
WEEK 3 (July 8 - July 12): Flag Football and Cheer
Campers learn pass patterns, pass defense and other aspects of football in this fun program that emphasizes sportsmanship and teamwork. Teams play games all week and compete in a fun Super Bowl on the last day of camp.
Cheerleaders will learn a variety of cheers, jumps, kicks and movements. We'll also play fun cheerleading games and learn one or two cheer dances. Cheerleaders will decorate uniforms to wear and pom-poms to use at an exhibition on the last day of camp!
WEEK 4 (July 15 - July 19): Olympics
The Olympics are coming to North Potomac! Children are grouped by age and divided into countries to learn about a wide variety of Olympic sports, including soccer, hockey, team handball, and track and field. Campers learn about the culture and history of their adopted country and make a flag to carry at the "Closing Ceremonies" and "Presentation of Medals".
WEEK 5 (July 22 - July 26): Ultimate Warrior Camp
Looking for a fun fitness challenge? Join us at the Ultimate Warrior Camp. Age-appropriate and safe activities specifically designed to challenge, inspire, and excite. Games and tasks this week include obstacle courses, relays, tug-of-war, and many other fun activities designed to teach cooperation and teamwork while also developing self-esteem.
WEEK 6 (July 29 - Aug 2): Lacrosse Camp
Boys and girls can learn to play one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. Lacrosse is action packed and lots of fun! The sport has elements of soccer, football, basketball and hockey. All equipment will be provided in this highly instructional program. Players will receive training on the fundamentals, including: passing and catching, fielding ground balls, cradling, spacing, positioning, and defense. Then they play fun game situational scrimmages, which helps them learn more and enjoy the fast-paced action of the game. Plastic sticks and soft balls are used. No checking, stick checking, or poking will be permitted! At the end of the week, players will participate in a fun NCAA Championship.
WEEK 7 (Aug 5 - Aug 9): Basketball Camp
Players have a blast learning the basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, positioning, defense, and rebounding in a fun-oriented program that utilizes creative team and individual drills and games. The week culminates in a fun 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament!
WEEK 8 (Aug 12 - Aug 16): College Days Camp
Have a blast playing a wide variety of college sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and more. Campers make a school pennant and T-shirt. Campers wear their school colors throughout the week to demonstrate school spirit.
