About This Activity

2018 Tri CLINICS Series (excludes OWS Clinic):   RUN FORM CLINIC (5/17; 6-7pm):   This clinic is for runners and triathletes of ALL experience levels.   There's nothing worse then training for an event and getting injured... especially when it could have been avoided.   Our run clinic will focus on form, technique and efficiency. The goal of the clinic is to help arm you with the tools to become a stronger more effcient runner while reducing the risk of injury.   All attendees will receive a "clinic recap" with notes on what we covered.   Please come dressed in running clothes and bring a water bottle.     TRANSITION CLINIC (5/17; 7-8pm):    In this clinic we will teach you the proper way to lay out your transition area and provide tips and tricks on how to get IN and OUT of Transition as fast as possibe on race day. For those that bring their bike and associated gear we will practice transition for T1 and T2.   We will also guide everyone though changing their own tire and we recommend that you bring your bike to practice on. It's one thing to see it done and another to actually do it yourself. It's your choice, but you'll probably get more out of it if you actually do it on your bike.   OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED: Bring your bike, bike shoes, sneakers, socks, helmet, sunglasses, race belt and anything else you would normally have in transition.     BIKE SKILLS CLINIC (5/22; 6-7pm):    This clinic is for Triathletes and Cyclist of ALL experience levels.   In this clinic we work on various bike handling skills. We will break participants into 1-3 smaller groups based on ability level. Each group will rotate through 5-6 skill stations where the designated coach will teach the skill and then have participants pratice.   Some stations will include:   - Clip in / Clip out REVIEW   - Turns (foot position & counter steering)   - U turns   - Tight circle drill   - 1 arm (grabing water bottles and/nutrition)   - Narrow lane (look where you want to go, not where you DONT)   - Emergency Braking   BRING: bike, bike shoes, HELMET (mandatory), Cycling or Tri Kit, Water bottle       BIKE MOUNT / DISMOUNT Clinic (5/22; 7-8pm):     THE MOUNT/DISMOUNT CLINIC IS FOR INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED ATHLETES ONLY.   Have you ever stood at the mount / dismount line at a triathlon? It can be scary and sometimes funny to watch athletes try to get on and off their bikes in a hurry.   We will show you how to do this like a pro! We'll teach you varying levels of approaches to hopping on and off your bike WITHOUT GETTING HURT. From simply swinging your leg over to flying mounts and dismounts (for the more advanced).    BRING: bike, bike shoes, HELMET (mandatory), Cycling or Tri Kit, Water bottle         Questions? Please email Chris - Chris@RidgewoodTriAthlete.com
