About this event

Description

The last day for Internet Registration was Dec 7, 2024 3:00 PM.

PRE-REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT. Participants will be able to register on the day of the event, starting at 3:00pm at Don's Cabin in Glen Miller Park. Day-of Registration will be open from 3:00-4:30pm on Sat. 12/7 only.
The Rosemary Weigel Frostbite 5K walk/run begins near twilight in Glen Miller Park with luminaries and holiday cheer lighting the way. Join us after the race for our annual Celebration of Lights, a cup of hot chocolate, and a visit with Santa!
The Rosemary Weigel Frostbite 5K is special to the Richmond Parks and Recreation staff. Our race is named after Rosemary, a long-time park employee, who passed away in 2012 after battling cancer. We can think of no better way to keep her spirit alive than to name our annual 5K after her. She was always a fixture at the races, and very involved in our programs. In her memory, this race is also a fundraiser for summer park programs and events. It is also the last race of the Wayne County Challenge's annual 8-race series.
Register by Nov. 15, 2024 to guarantee your Frostbite 5K T-shirt and requested size on the day of the race! Entry fee will increase to $20 (12 and under) and $25 (13 and older) as of Nov. 16, 2024. T-shirt availability for those who register after 11/15/24 will be based on available sizes and quantities on the day of the race.
