Faster Freestyle and Multi-stroke Workshops with Karlyn Pipes in Regina, Saskatchewan hosted by Regina Masters Swim Club (RMSC). To register, you must be a member in good standing with the club.

Saturday, September 21st at the Lawson Aquatic Centre and the address is 1717 Elphinstone Street, Regina, Sk, S4T3N2

About coach Karlyn:

This past year Hall of Fame swimmer Karlyn Pipes changed her technique in all of the four competitive strokes. WHY would someone so accomplished make a change?

Because she was dissatisfied with her swimming! She was seeking something better, faster and EASIER. Well, she has found “it” and will be sharing these same techniques with you at the upcoming Faster Freestyle and Multi-stroke Workshops. For more about Karlyn visit https://karlynpipes.com

Details about this event:

Faster Freestyle Workshop 8:00-11:00 AM

Karlyn’s Faster Freestyle workshops are designed to help swimmers and triathletes, of any age or ability, to discover the easy way to swim faster. Using simple and easy to understand drills and techniques, after just one session you will be a better swimmer.

Schedule: We will begin with the first hour in a classroom setting discussing past and present swim techniques and watch portions of Karlyn’s GOSWIM DVD. Then we will spend approximately 1:45 minutes in the water. Karlyn will begin with the basics: breathing, balance and body awareness, then gradually build into the step-by-step Faster Freestyle stroke progression that is designed to help YOU swim a faster and more efficient freestyle.

11:00-12:30 Lunch break (meal not provided)

12:30-3:30 Multi-stroke (back, breast and fly) Workshop

Do you struggle with those pesky “OTHER” strokes? Or perhaps you are dealing with shoulder/neck pain and it's been suggested that you give your freestyle a break. You also might be confused when it comes to how to actually swim fly, back and breast and would like someone to teach you how. Coach Karlyn can help!

Karlyn absolutely loves teaching swimmers and triathletes of ANY ability how to swim backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly with ease and confidence. She also promises to demystify, simplify, and make learning these strokes fun and will even show YOU the EASY way to to FLY.

Schedule:

1-hour in the classroom to discuss techniques and watch DVD

30-minutes for backstroke

30-minutes for breaststroke

Short break

30-minutes for butterfly. FINS ARE OK!

15 min for Q and A and to wrap up

Please arrive 15 minutes before the beginning of each workshop.

What to bring: An open mind, water bottle, snacks, towel, goggles. You do NOT need equipment but fins for the fly are ok. If you get cold easy, bring your wetsuit.

We will be providing light snacks, however you may wish to bring something more substantial to eat or drink.

COST: Karlyn has graciously offered us a huge discount for this event. Cost is $190 CAD (normally both workshops would cost $325 CAD). Online registration only at note that active.com will be charging you in USD ($150)
