What's Included

Children learn best when they are comfortable and confident in themselves and their surroundings. Our focus is on providing activities and learning experiences through art, music, reading time, dramatic play and socialization for children who are 3 to 5 years old, throughout the school year. Children have opportunities to choose and learn from a variety of planned art activities including painting, gluing, cutting and manipulative materials. There are always cooperative play opportunities as well. We have themes throughout the year, from Seasons to Your Senses. Sharing Time allows children to show or tell about something special to them. Puzzles, dramatic play areas, tactile tables, an invention center, and manipulatives are always available during free exploration times. We expose the children to a variety of experiences through nature, music, and host special guests sharing talents from puppetry to reptiles. Children start learning to negotiate and communicate with their peers as they interact with each other. Our teachers help children through conflicts and with verbal communication when needed, guiding them in making good choices. Children learn to care for each other and their school. Our community playground is a creative space for large motor activities. On especially wet and cold weather days, we’ll convert the classroom into an exercise studio for tots with simple stretching and yoga poses. Our goal through this unique learning experience is to launch young children into a lifelong love and appreciation of art in our world, fostering creativity and encouraging cooperation and understanding. Igimo Art Preschool runs the school year – three mornings a week or two mornings a week options. To be eligible to enroll in the Igimo Art Preschool Program, children must be 3 years old on or before September 1 of the current year. All children enrolled must be toilet trained. No classes November 11th & November 24-29

About This Organizer

Our goal is to provide a fun and relaxed atmosphere where students, both children and adults, can discover and expand their creative talent. Creativity is encouraged, developing a love of art that will continue to grow throughout a lifetime. We help students build artistic confidence, enjoy themselves, express themselves, learn new ways of entertaining themselves, and make new friends. Our experienced instructors plan comprehensive, informative drawing lessons, painting classes, art camps and craft parties that aim to teach everyone something new each lesson, broadening students’ skills, knowledge and understanding of art.
