BarryS Coaching TriMasters Swimming is proud to again in 2017 offer our annual Wednesday 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Weekly Open Water Swim Program.
For 2017 we will offer 2 x 8 week Open Water Swim Sessions - Session I will have an "open water skills development and technique practice" focus while Session II will have an "open water swim fitness, 70.3 and Ironman distance swim" focus including longer swim sets. For 2017 you will be able to register for Session I, Session II or Both Sessions. We have budgeted 10 weeks, allowing for 2 "rain out weeks" to accomplish 8 weeks of swimming. Dividing the 2017 OWS Season into 2 distinct sesssions is the result of requests and feedback from our clients.
Over the past several years we have worked with many beginner as well as accomplished Open Water Swim athletes and proudly boast graduation of many accomplished Open Water Swimmers at the end of our seasonal program. Our weekly swims are designed to build confidence in each swimmers skill sets in a unique open water swim environment. Each swim offers safety and security first, open water swim skill development second and open water swim fitness thrid. We teach folks sighting skills which allow maintenance of swim speed, buoy turn skills, confidence and skill to navigate mass open water swim starts, various drafting techniques and evasion skills allowing our athlete to break away from those drafting, open water breathing and "bail-out" skills and techniques.
Kayak(s), in water swim patrol, on land lifeguards are always present.
