Project ECHO 2018 Thanksgiving Day 5k Turkey Trot
This is a fun, family-friendly 5k for people of all ages and abilities. All proceeds from this event benefit Project ECHO homeless shelter and homeless individuals and families of Calvert County, MD.
In addition to being meaningful and fun, this is a timed race with awards in each age group. We encourage everyone to register early for the advanced registration discount and guaranteed t-shirt.
We invite you to turn up the fun with creative costumes. Join the locals, travelers and shelter residents who show up in costume. You'll see Turkeys, Pilgrims, Native American Indians, Pumpkins, Santa, Reindeer, and whatever else our fun runners can come up with.
Best costume wins bragging rights and a prize so be creative!

Registration Details: Advanced registration is strongly encouraged and greatly appreciated as it enables us all to be more prepared the day of the race. Registering by Nov. 5 guarantees you a t-shirt and registering by Nov. 15 gives you a discounted rate.
Nov 5: T-shirts are 100% guaranteed only to those registered by November 5th.
Nov. 16: Discounted registration rate ends at 11:59 p.m. November 16th, 2018.
Nov 19: Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. November 18th, 2018.
Bib & T-shirt Pickup: Early bib pickup is strongly encouraged and greatly appreciated to eliminate delays the day of the race.
All pre-registered participants will be able to pick up bibs and t-shirts on November 20th and 21st from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm. *Please note* Pick ups are at Project ECHO which is a separate location from the race.

Race Day Details: Race-day registration and pre-registration pickups will open at 6:00 a.m. Race-day registration will take place inside the building. Pre-registration pickups will be available in the parking lot.
The race will begin at 7:00 a.m. for runners and 7:15 a.m. for walkers.
Parking is available in the shopping center on West Dares Beach Rd. across the intersection from The Arc.
A brief warm up will take place before the race begins.
Complimentary light refreshments will be available before and after the race.
The race runs the length of Prince Frederick Blvd beginning and ending at The Arc. There is a turn-around near Hallowing Point Rd and another turn-around near Stoakley Rd. The entire race is on pavement.
