Meet us there! Learn about the unscrupulous early days of Portland and the truth about rumored abductions through the network of underground tunnels under the city called "Shanghai Tunnels" and explore one of the remaining access points. Hear stories of Portland's shady characters, historical scandals, and its figurative and literal underground while exploring Old Town on foot with an expert guide.
Meet at: Portland Walking Tours at 131 NW 2nd Ave (just down from NW Davis St) in Old Town/Chinatown. The office will be opened 20 minutes before 1pm. Please arrive by 1pm to start the tour on time.
Mobility Rating: This trip is not accessible to those using a wheelchair, walker or motorized scooter. There are some stairs involved to enter the tunnels. Be prepared to do about 90 minutes of walking and standing on city streets.
