A preschoolers mind is like a sponge! The benefits of combining nature play, ecology and highly-trained preschool naturalists are proven! Weekly hands-on lessons in Portland's Parks & Natural areas improve creativity, focus, coordination, & social development. Children learn about Pacific NW ecology through games, activities, exploration and unstructured play.
This is a drop-off program! If the class is full, join the waiting list. If we can find another teacher, we will add spots!
Lesson Topics for this session: 1. Autumn Leaves; 2. Squirrels & Dreys; 3. Animal Home Trick-or-Treat; 4. Ferns & Spores
Small groups of preschoolers explore nature with highly-trained, preschool naturalists and learn about local plants & animals through crafts, songs, games and play. Children are outdoors rain or shine - we make nature fun in any type of weather! Student to teacher ratio is 4:1 or better. If the class is full, always join a waitlist! If we can find teachers to add a section, we will!
