Casting Pewter is fun, easy to learn and inexpensive. It requires minimal equipment and can be done at home with beautiful results. In this workshop you will learn to make a casting mold. The same RTV mold process is used to replicate objects for lost wax casting. We then pour the pewter to make pendants, rings or decorative objects. Finally, we will finish the castings using both hand and automated finishing techniques. You will leave with the knowledge and sources to continue on your own. We only use child-safe lead-free pewter. Some wax models are supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own wax or finished rings as well as natural objects to mold.
No prerequisite. Class price includes studio fee of $90. After 1st class, these fees are non-refundable.
