Scheduled for the 10th of January, 2015, the 31st Annual promises to be even bigger and better. This year's event will also follow the 6.2 mile (10K) course starting at the Port Isabel Community Center, continuing on to the Queen Isabella Causeway and over the Laguna Madre Bay and ending in front of Louie’s Backyard on South Padre Island. Awards ceremonies and lunch will be held immediately following the race/walk at Louie’s Backyard on South Padre Island.

OVERALL CASH PRIZES:
Overall Male & Female Cash prizes: 1st place will pay $500.00 to each; 2nd place $300.00 each; and 3rd place $200.00 each. Overall Male & Female winners will be ineligible for medals in their respective age divisions.
10K (6.2 mi.) Starts at the Port Isabel Community Center, 213 Yturria St. and ends at the tented area roadside in front of Louie’s Backyard, 2305 Laguna Blvd, South Padre Island. One major incline. Water stations at the end of the Causeway, 1 other location, and at the end of the race. There will be police protection and EMS services. The run is USA Track and Field certified: Certification TX05009WG.
ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED.
FITNESS WALK COURSE:
The Course starts at Port Isabel Community Center, then right on Davis St., right on Musina St., left on Maxan St., right on Garcia St. and left on Highway 100. The finish line will be at the Padre Balli Statue on South Padre Island. Shuttle service will be available to the tented area in front of Louie’s Backyard to the runner’s awards ceremony or back to Port Isabel. Please expect bus delays. THIS IS NOT A RACE. THIS IS A PARTICIPATION WALK. There will be no awards given to walk participants. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS.
LATE REGISTRATION IN PERSON:
The Port Isabel Chamber office will be CLOSED on Friday, January 9.
Late/On-site registration will begin at 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday January 9, at the Port Isabel Community Center, 213 Yturria St.
Late/On-site registration will continue on Saturday, January 10, from 7:00 am to 9:00am at the Port Isabel Community Center, 213 Yturria St. Cut off 9:00am, SHARP.
Late fee for runners only: add $5.00. No credit card use during late registration.

T-SHIRTS & RUNNERS' BIB/CHIP PICKUP:
Participants may check in at the Chamber office the week of the event or on Friday, January 9, 5:00 to 7:00pm and Saturday, January 10, 7:00 to 9:00am at the Community Center, 213 Yturria. St. T-shirts guarantee: First 4,500 participants to check in. But sizes are not guaranteed.
RUNNERS TIMING CHIPS WILL BE HANDED OUT ON FRIDAY & SATURDAY MORNING.
YOU MUST WEAR YOUR ASSIGNED RUNNERS/WALKERS BIB/WRISTBAND TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE CAUSEWAY.

PARKING & SHUTTLE SERVICE
We strongly recommend that all participants park at Louie’s Backyard, 2315 Laguna Blvd., South Padre Island as there will be shuttle service available starting at 7:00 am from Louie’s Backyard to the Port Isabel Community Center. After the walk, shuttle service will run from the Padre Balli Statue to either Louie's Backyard or the Port Isabel Community Center. Please expect bus delays due to heavy traffic.
