Have fun making your own sandpaper pictograph using design inspiration from the ancestral Sonoran Desert people (the Hohokam). Learn about these rare works of art as you create your very own designs on sandpaper. This craft kit includes craft materials, step-by step instructions, and designs commonly found on petroglyphs and pottery created by the ancestral Sonoran Desert people.

Cost: $2 per student/craft

Each Craft Kit order includes the materials for the craft and a set of PowerPoint step-by-step instructions. There is no in-person instruction for this activity.

Kits to be picked up at Pueblo Grande Museum located at 4619 E. Washington Street Phoenix, AZ 85034. Call 602-495-0901 for appointment.

All crafts activities must be scheduled a minimum of two weeks prior to the proposed date of the program allowing museum staff time to prepare the supplies.

An appointment must be made to arrange for pickup of the craft materials
