Breathing, strengthening, stretching, and balancing - these are the ingredients of yoga which can create numerous health benefits for the body. Class begins with breathing and a gentle warm-up to prepare the body and mind to work. The heart of the class is a series of poses that can be vigorous, gentle, or adapted, according to the individual's needs. Deep stretching and relaxation occur at the end so students leave feeling strengthened, energized, and refreshed. No prior knowledge of yoga is needed. Register online or at the Parks Office by Friday noon of the week before the first class day. Once that date is reached you must register at the office, 865 Tutuilla Road, or by calling 541-276-8100. Class meets every Wednesday and is designed to compliment your wellness routine. The fee is a flat $36 per month. Enter on the side of the gym down the stairs between the two buildings.
