Many summer camp programs offer kids the chance to simulate the college experience by staying in on-campus dorms, eating in cafeterias and learning at university facilities without the social and academic pressures that can accompany the freshman year. If a student has already had the experience of maintaining a summer camp schedule while navigating a college campus, that first day of school could be a little less daunting.

Soccer Camp at Oral Roberts University (June 5-9)
1 of 12Kids from ages 7 to 18 can learn all about the Beautiful Game from the ORU men's and women's coaching staffs in Tulsa, Okla. Campers are placed in groups based on age and ability, so all skill levels are welcome.
Football Camp at Texas Christian University (June 13-14)
2 of 12Players entering grades eight through 12 can learn from the coaching staff of the TCU Horned Frogs, including football Head Coach Gary Patterson. Campers receive in-depth instruction in football drills that will allow them to improve their game on the gridiron.
Soccer Camp at the University of Georgia (June 15-18)
3 of 12Girls and boys ages 12 to 18 will stay in the East Campus Village dorms on the University of Georgia for this four-day camp. Campers will also get to interact with current Georgia Bulldog players to learn more about playing at the collegiate level.
Gymnastics Camp at the University of Denver (June 16-19)
4 of 12This girls-only camp gives young gymnasts a college experience in the Mile-High City. Campers from ages 7 to 18 get to stay in the dorms and eat in the dining hall, with special recreation time set aside to play in the pool.
Softball Camp at Arizona State University (June 20-22)
5 of 12This girls-only softball camp takes place at the home of the Arizona State Sun Devils. Current and former Sun Devil players and other top-level coaches will coach campers.
Basketball Camp at Stanford University (June 21-24)
6 of 12This overnight camp is open to girls ages 10 to 18 looking to sharpen their basketball skills. All campers stay in the Stanford dormitories and have access to a qualified trainer 24 hours a day in case of injury or illness.
Basketball Camp at Louisiana State University (June 26-29)
7 of 12Boys can hone their skills at the home of the LSU Tigers basketball team at this four-day camp in Baton Rouge, La. In addition to improved skills on the court, campers will take home a camp T-shirt and basketball.
Swim Camp at the University of Florida (July 10-29)
8 of 12Learn to swim like a Gator at this two-week elite camp in Gainesville, Fla. This session is designed for experienced and highly motivated athletes, so be prepared for intense practices.
Ice Hockey Camp at the University of Michigan (July 17-21)
9 of 12Red Berenson's Michigan Hockey Camp has been helping players hit the ice for more than 30 years, since Berenson took over as head coach of the Wolverines in 1984. Campers will hone their skill at Yost Ice Arena and the Ann Arbor campus.
Wrestling Camp at Memphis University (July 25-29)
10 of 12Young wrestlers can work on everything from take downs to pinning combinations at this boys-only camp. The camp is open to wrestlers of all skill levels who are ready to hit the mat.
Volleyball Camp at Princeton University (Aug. 5-7)
11 of 12Give your volleyball player the Ivy League experience without the Ivy League tuition. This boys-only camp consists of six sessions and is for players with a serious interest in playing college volleyball.
