Welcome to the 9th Annual Omaha Triathlon! We have moved to a new venue at Werner Park and Prairie Queen Recreation Area located off Hwy 370 easily accessible from interstate 80.
The Swim Start is at Prairie Queen Recreation Area as well as the Swim to Bike Transition (T1). All participants and spectators must park at Werner Park for all events. There is no event parking at Swim Start and T1. The Bike to Run Transition as at Werner Park (Please see venue map and courses at http://raceomaha.com/event/omaha-triathlon/
The Race begins at Prairie Queen Recreation Area and ends at Werner Park inside the Stadium (adjacent to Praire Queen).
An Athlete Guide will be posted at RaceOmaha.com the week of the race!
Race Briefings will be avaialbe at GreenStret Cycles in Papillion (dates and times TBA)
Bring the family to Nebraska and make it a Triathlon weekend. The weekend offers several Multi-Sport events.

-4 water/powerade aid stations on the run curse for Olympic Run Course and 3 aid stations on the Sprint Course.
-Ample parking for all participants and spectators before and during the event. Access is open during the entire event.
-Post Race Beer.
-Hotels nearby - Host Hotel is Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Papillion.

Bike Drop-off: Mandatory Bike Drop off on Saturday 2pm to 6pm at Prairie Queen Recreation Area/Swim Start on the West side of the Lake. All bikes must be racked so that when you are in front of your bike you see your race number on the rack and front wheel should be down. Maximum of six bikes per rack with every other bike in the same direction. Please make sure you have your bar end plugs checked in advance. Bike Support will be on hand on Saturday for the mandatory bike check and on Sunday morning. There will be little time available for fixes on Sunday.
Note: Any participants staying our host hotel, Fairfield Inn and Suites in Papillion, will have their race packet at hotel check-in for convenience. Please make sure to use the registration link here to register for your room.
Sunday July 8, 2018 - Omaha Triathlon
Race Options: Olympic Individual, Sprint Individial, Olympic Team Relay (2 or 3 per team), Aquabike (Swim and Bike), Aquathlon (Swim and Run), Mixed Relay (2 female and 2 male per team) with all participants racing a short distance triathlon (see details below), Open Water Swim only (1500m), and Duathlon.
Sprint Distance Triathlon:
750 Meter swim, 20K bike, and a 5K run.
Olympic Distance Triathlon (Individual and Team):
1500 Meter swim, 40K bike, and a 10K run.

Duathlon (Bike and Run),
40k Bike and 10k Run
Each person on the team completes all legs of a short/mini triathlon consisting of the following distances.
375m Swim, 9 Mile Bike. 1 Mile Run (Each participant must rack their bike in the transition area, exit transition and cross the finish to get their time). Distances may be adjusted based on the Olympic and Sprint Courses for both the bike and run.
All Mixed Relay team members must complete the distance. All team member times added together for the total team time. The Run portion is the second leg of this race option.
Open Water Swim
All athletes will swim in Prairie Lake Recreation Area. The course will be properly marked with large yellow triangle buoys for the turns and smaller sight buoys in between. Olympic triathletes will be in the first waves followed by Sprint and other race distances. The Course buoys will be placed during bike drop off on Saturday. The course will be counterclockwise with the start and finish both at the boat ramp. Run in will be nearest to the boat ramp with Bike Out at the oppositve end of the transtiion area.

The Run course is an out and back course primarily on the paved trail around Prairie Lake Recreation Area. Turnaround signs will be setup on the trail. Please make sure to turnaround at the appropriate turnaround for your race distance. The Olympic Turnaround is almost completely around the north section of the trail. No refund or transfers are given for any reason. Considerable effort goes into producing such an event and funds are expended early in the process to create this race. Thank you for understanding this policy.

July 7th - Packet Pickup available at GreenStreet Cycles Papillion location until noon. Packet Pickup avialble at bike drop off at 2pm until approximately 6pm (final times will be updated on the Athlete Guide).
Bike Drop-off at venue. All participants must park in the Werner Parking Lot located off Highway 370 accessbile from 126th Street. All participants needs to place their bike number of their bike and have their race bracelet secured prior to entering their bike into transition. Participants may walk or ride their bike to the transition area only. No bike drop off will be authorized on Saturday entering from Cornhusker Road. Access to the Werner Area may be restricted on Lincoln Street from the West side of Prairie View Recreation Area due to some road construction scheduled so pleaase access the venue again from 126th Street and Highway 370.

Note: There are two transitions. (Swim to Bike) is at the Swim Start on the West side of Prairie Queen Recreation Area. It is 1 mile walk from Werner Park. Transition 2 or T2 is in the Werner Park Parking Lot (Bike to Run). All participants much allow at least 20 minutes to walk over to arrive by 5:50am to get final instructions. You will need to place your Bike Gear in T1 (bike helmet, bike shoes, etc) with your bike. You will need to place your running gear at T2 at Werner Park. All Participants must park at Wener Park. No parking is available at the Swim Start. Any participant attempting to park at Swim Start will be disqualified.
