After learning tai chi basics, students may progress to the intermediate tai chi class. The intermediate class builds on more movements and exercises from the beginning class. You will learn a total of 15 postures, plus more details and principles of tai chi movements. I strongly recommend enrolling in both classes to keep practicing the movements that we previously learned. As you learn more, you may progress to learning the complete Chen style tai chi long form, which is 74 postures. However, for those just wanting to learn tai chi and practice to gain the many healthful benefits, repeating the beginning class is sufficient.
