Dive into the world of watercolor textures using wax paper, plastic wrap, and more! Boost your skills and enjoy the thrill of artistic experimentation. Feel free to bring your own paints and brushes. Additional supply list on registration receipt. Instructor: Ellen Miffitt
Watercolor Experiments Supplies: Note: Instructor will bring Watercolor Pencils, extra brushes and water dishes for student use. Supplies needed: Brushes- typical brushes for watercolor are #8 round brush, #4 round for detail and a 1 inch flat for wash [broad application]. Paint Set or Tube paint and a palette [a white plate or commercial palette]. Suggested watercolor paint colors: Hansa yellow deep, Alizarin Crimson Hue, Cobalt Blue Hue, Phthalo Blue, Viridian, Sap Green, Phthalo Green, Payne’s gray. [Basically bring primary and secondary colors with white and black to make tints and tones.] Paper- Use any watercolor pad, block or loose paper with a weight of #140. Most WC paper is cold press [rough texture] or hot press [smooth surface]. Strathmore has a pad with samples of various papers.
