Description

This class will explore the use of found materials, images and texts to create collages on paper. Both formal and personal explorations will be encouraged. An emphasis will be placed on the search for images to achieve the unexpected as found images are juxtaposed. This class is for those curious about the format to those wishing to push themselves beyond their present abilities. Supply list available online and at registration. Instructor: Ellen Miffitt


Need supply list if not already in an old activity. If in old activity, email Ellen supply list to verify those supplies are still needed. Supplies needed: Scissors: one for detail - one for rougher cuts. Glue: Paper glue & glue for objects- Yes Paste, white glue, hot glue gun, Duco cement, mod podge, glue stick - bring whatever glue you like best. Note: Instructor brings, scissors, glue, rulers, exacto knife, circle cutter, self-healing mat. Collage Papers & More: Just about any type of paper, fabric, gauze, netting, etc. Old magazines are important for the images, handwritten letters/poems, old cards, old photos, maps, plane tickets, etc. We will follow federal, state, or local COVID-19 guidelines.
