The NPFR Honor Guard will be hosting their 3rd Annual ?Remember the Fallen? 5K Memorial Run on September 14, 2013. Inspired by the events that took place on 9-11-01, this will be a day to remember, honor and support the first responders and members of the armed services who protect and serve our community and country every day. In attending this event, you will be exposed to aspects of the tradition found within the Fire Service. Show your support and become part of this memorable event!
Directions

Take I-75 to exit #182, Sumter Blvd. Go south into town. Approximately 2 miles from the interstate, turn left onto City Hall Blvd. Follow signs for event parking.

Fire Fighter Challenge

Why not take it to the next level? Pay tribute and take on this memorial run in FULL bunker gear (jacket, pants & helmet; boots are not required). For those up for the challenge, awards will be given 3 deep in both categories; Fire Officer and Fire Fighter.

This event is family friendly, open to all skill levels, and welcomes both runners, walkers, athletes and supporters. It is a flat, fast, loop course with displays of fire trucks and military vehicles throughout. There will also be a post-run celebration on-site following the awards ceremony to include performances from a pipes and drums band.
